Nespresso Brand House
In the bustling streets of London, the Nespresso Brand House is more than just a coffee shop; it's a transformative coffee adventure where every moment is infused with the magic of coffee and the spirit of connection. Our design approach for this project focused on creating a welcoming and immersive experience that celebrates the joy of coffee and fosters meaningful connections.
One of the central features of our design is the inclusion of interactive workshops led by passionate Nespresso baristas. These workshops provide guests with the opportunity to explore the art of coffee-making, from the selection of beans to the creation of intricate coffee designs. The aim is not just to educate but also to create a sense of camaraderie and fun, making coffee a truly immersive experience.
The culinary aspect of our design centres around local cuisine that pairs perfectly with Nespresso coffee. From delightful breakfast options to invigorating 'high coffee' moments and captivating evening cocktails, every moment becomes an occasion for celebration. Beyond the Brand House, our design extends to Nespresso pop-ups scattered across London. These pop-ups serve as hubs for capturing Instagram-worthy coffee moments and embarking on unique coffee adventures.
However, the essence of our design goes beyond coffee; it's about creating a sense of belonging and fostering social engagement. We believe that coffee is a connector, bringing people together and forging lifelong connections.
This project was part of the Nespresso x Reversed Board Challenge, and it was a collaborative effort by our team, Mavericks. The team included my talented classmates Debosmita Paul Choudhury, Rajkunwar Pawar, and myself. Debo and I were teammates during the Design for Experience module, and we discovered our shared passion for designing spaces that foster a sense of belonging and community.
Inspired by the presentation video I created for the Moxy Connects, Debo approached me with a proposition. She invited me to bring my expertise in animation to the table and craft a video for the Nespresso Brand House, leveraging the vibrant hand-drawn style that had proven effective in our previous project. This collaboration was the result of recognising the potential of my animation skills and how they could enhance our vision for the Nespresso Brand House.
Throughout this project, I embraced new learning experiences, including trying my hand at frame-by-frame animation, which added an element of fun and creativity to our video. This project not only allowed me to contribute to the design of the Nespresso Brand House but also provided a platform for personal growth and skill development.
