Oasis Project

The Sahara Desert has a fragile ecological environment and harsh living conditions. However, it contains huge renewable energy sources: solar power and wind energy. I hope to design a habitat that allows scientific human habitat to protect and improve harsh environments while make full use of renewable energy - that’s why Oasis Project is born.

In this project, I did research on desert lifestyles, possible sustainable energy sources, and site analysis, and eventually decided to use the algae bioreactor and the structure of wind catcher as the main technologies to create an oasis community where people can live and work in the Sahara.

In the context of increasing global desertification, I hope that the Oasis Project will serve as an example for more desert areas.
